This session explores gender identity and the impact of gender bias and stereotyping on children’s sense of self and sense of others. We’ll explore values, practice and provision that can counter the engrained and subtle stereotyping that can be reinforced through everyday language and interactions.
We’ll consider how work to narrow the gender ‘gap’ could contribute to negative gender bias which prevents all children reaching their full potential.
A fully inclusive and enabling environment based on researchful reflection for each and every unique child is our focus.
